Advanced Carbine & Night Shoot

Everyone shoots on the square range and fixed position. This course gets you warmed up, then pushes speed with the pistol and carbine. Live fire in the shoot house, and then simulation training in the Sims house. Building to low light with lights and lasers, you will get to observe through night vision. After dark we will increase distance and try our newest gear.

Upon completion of the course, the student should be proficient with:

+ Handling the Gun
+ Marksmanship
+ Various firing positions and uses for each
+ Sling use, drawing from the slung position
+ Ammunition management
+ Mindset
+ Weapon Retention (techniques on how to keep your weapon from being taken away by an attacker)
+ Close Quarters Conflict
+ Transition Drills (switching from the use of the carbine to a pistol in tactical situation)
+ House Clearing Techniques
+ Low Light Techniques 

Equipment: (Equipment can be provided upon request in advance at no additional cost)

+ Carbine with sling and light
+ Eye and ear protection
+ Clear eye protection for low light portion of the class
+ Knee and elbow pads
+ Two magazines for carbine (if applicable)
+ Pistol and holster (mounted light optional)
+ Hat
+ Flashlight - mounted on weapon or handheld

Ammunition:

+ 250 rounds carbine ammo minimum (no steel core, armor piercing or SS109/M855 US)
+ 50 rounds pistol ammo minimum for transition drills

Recommended Weapons
AR-15, AK-47, M-1 Carbines, H&K 93, 94, Steyer Augs, Winchester Model 94 lever guns, and similar type weapons.
