The next GENERAL HANDGUN class is scheduled for November 14-15. The course teaches the student how to effectively and safely utilize a pistol or revolver. This class saturates the student with the fundamentals through repetition to create "muscle memory" or an instinctive response. Upon completion of the course, the student should be proficient with:
+ Safety rules and procedures
+ Handling the gun
+ Marksmanship
+ Fundamentals

Pistol Night Operations
Sept. 26, 2009
This class is instructed in low light conditions and incorporates the tactical use of a flashlight and other lighting methods. The night shoot teaches various target identification and sighting techniques under tactical situations of limited visibility. The student reinforces what was learned in General and Advanced Handgun during the day class instruction, and learns additional skills while under the cover of darkness.

Advanced Pistol, Carbine & Scenarios
Since this is the course debut we are offering special reduced pricing! The course is first come, first serve, and the deadline to register is June 11, 2009.

Become an N.R.A. Certified Instructor - Don't Miss Out
FTA will be conducting three N.R.A. Instructor Courses in March and April.
On March 14 and 15 FTA will be conducting the N.R.A Certified Instructor Course for Pistol and Personal Defense. The class will consist of two ten-hour days and is mostly classroom. This course is an instructor course, in which students will be building course plans and teaching. Each student will receive certification in pistol and personal protection. Space is very limited in this course and the last day to register is Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
Introducing Jeremy Stafford and the New Executive Personal Protection Class
Firearms Training Associates would like to take a quick moment to introduce the newest member of our training family, Jeremy Stafford. Jeremy is currently a police officer with over 11 years experience and has spent 13.5 years in the Marine Corps and the Marine Corps Reserve. During his law enforcement career he has worked in patrol, narcotics, field training, has served as a firearms instructor at the Police Academy, and is currently assigned to a specialized unit within the Counter Terrorism Bureau.
